Hi Peter,
Re: The quote, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience”
I have no idea who Wayne Dyer is or was, but this quote is generally attributed to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881 – 1955). Still, regardless of who came up with it, I think it is pretty profound.
On the matter of humans and their experiences, it seems to me some exciting times lie ahead for all of us. Are you familiar with John Smallman, Mike Quinsey, Sheldan Nidle? Interesting stuff.
In a recent podcast interview I heard Wayne Dyer attribute this quote to Pierre Teillhard de Chardin; so it appears he is giving credit where credit is due. Yes, quite a memorable and meaningful quotation, especially considering the source: a French Jesuit priest, philosopher, and palenontologist/archeologist. I’ve updated the “About” page accordingly.
Hello Peter,
I do not know the people named by you & the quote “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience”
What I feel is “Only to be human is to be spiritual.
